Jan-Hendrik Jagla hit a desperation 3-pointer to beat the shot clock in the second overtime and Germany held on to beat Serbia 82-81 on Sunday at the basketball world championship. Milenko Tepic of Serbia missed a layup with 3 seconds left in the second overtime. Jagla finished with 22 points and nine rebounds for Germany (1-1), which lost 78-74 to Argentina in its opening game.

Milenko Tepic missed a layup with three seconds left and Serbia dropped to 1-1 without its two top suspended players. Jagla finished with a game-high 22 points and added nine rebounds for Germany, which is also 1-1 now.
